Key Xbox Figure Joins Phantom Project
According to reports surfacing this morning, one of the key figures behind the development of the Xbox console, Kevin Bachus, has joined Infinium Labs, the somewhat shady company behind the illusive online-only Phantom games machine.

Bachus, having failed with the impressively ambitious Capital Entertainment Group - a company he founded with Seamus Blackley - has taken the position of chief operating officer, though specifics of what his role will entail were not revealed.

In other news, Infinium Labs has found itself in some pretty hot water over a share dividend doled out without investor consultation. As the Herald Tribune puts it, "Infinium Labs dished out a stealthy stock dividend to insiders as soon as it became a publicly traded company, and without bothering to tell the stock-trading public through traditional channels."

We'll bring you more on Infinium Labs and their Phantom console soon.

What is the deal with Infinium Labs?

Apart from the frankly unbelievable claims for the number of games their hardware will run, now there's this slightly shady stock dealing. Does anyone believe they will ever release any hardware, or is it just a scam set up to con money out of investors?

Are there any dev kits out there?

There'd be no dev kits cos the claim is that it will run PC games. It does look blatantly like a scam though - or it did until the news about Bachus anyway...
