Although losing $6 million to Microsoft is the equivalent of someone lifting an old button from your copper jar, the firm is certainly not happy with former employee Kori Robin Brown.
This is because the former admin assistant for Microsoft’s Xbox division somehow managed to steal and sell around $6 million worth of Xbox games, and shift them on the black market.
Brown was busted during a major crackdown across Microsoft, which hired teams of investigators to crack down on the problem of internal fraud and theft across its global operation.
Indeed, having sifted through the figures, it emerged that Brown had siphoned a staggering quantity of Xbox games to various associates through the ordering system he had access to.
Pleading guilty in court this week, Brown is looking at some hard time, facing a $250,000 fine and up to five years behind bars.
