Xbox One Probably Won't Get Illumiroom

Did you all see that Illumiroom video, in all its wall projecting glory, that Microsoft released earlier this year? If not, head over here and check it out.

Are you back? Good. Looks pretty neat doesn't it? Well, unfortunately for us, Xbox One probably won't see Illumiroom. According to Xbox One director of product planning Albert Penello, talking to Ausgamers at PAX, "It's very, very cool tech but for a consumer it requires projectors and things, it's really super-neat if you're in the lab and you've got Microsoft money and you could totally set up this awesome lab, but...

"We looked at it, but for an average customer it's thousands of dollars [for the set up]."

That's a real shame, we were really hoping to turn the SPOnG office into a battlezone.
