The non-release of Half-Life 3 is the running joke that constantly has the games industry in stitches or it's the Holy Grail of gamers waiting for the perfect product. Either way, it's still not happening. This time the denial comes from an actor called John Patrick Lowrie who has plenty of track record with Valve, having worked on titles such as
Left for Dead 3,
DOTA 2 and, of course,
Half-Life 2.
Writing on his own
blog he states:
"Right. As far as I know they are not developing HL3 now for several reasons, among them the mo-cap issue. Sorry for any confusion. What they might decide in the future depends on lots of different factors. I hope they do, personally, but it has to make sense for them."
Still, it all keep the legend going.
