The company has gained a license to create games based on ‘Green Eggs and Ham’, ‘The Cat in the Hat’, ‘One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish’ and ‘How The Grinch Stole Christmas’, news that should delight kids both young and old.
The first games will appear on Game Boy Advance, with GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox titles to follow. NewKidCo says that it aims to start releasing games from the franchise early in 2003.
“In teaming with NewKidCo, we knew we shared a common goal: staying true to the characters, appealing to children and presenting a positive message," said Susan Brandt, VP of Licensing and Marketing at Dr. Seuss Enterprises. "Dr. Seuss has always sparked the imagination of children, and we feel that video games will give them a chance to venture further into this world."
We will bring you the first screens and info just as soon as they are released, or sooner, if we get a chance, so stay tuned!
