The people have spoken! Valve's interesting new Steam Greenlight initiative has officially taken off, with the company announcing the first ten games that have been approved by the Steam community for worldwide distribution on the platform.
Greenlight was launched on August 30, with the intention of allowing more independent content to feature on the games service. Developers pitch their game to the community at large, which then gets put to a vote. If the game succeeds, it gets distributed! If it doesn't, then... well, it doesn't.
The first ten Greenlight games are as follows.
· Black Mesa
· Cry of Fear
· Dream
· Heroes & Generals
· Kenshi
· McPixe
· No More Room in Hell
· Project Zomboid
· Routine
· Towns
