Troubled THQ is having the hell sued out of it by Adidas because it failed to make a video game for the German sports gear maker's "miCoach" range.THQ, which has already seen its
CEO take a huge pay cut to help it out of financial problems, is being sued for $10 million in damages, according to a lawsuit Adidas filed in Multnomah County Circuit Court.
The OregonLive site reports that, "The THQ-produced product had a working title of "MiCoach 24/7," according to the lawsuit filed Wednesday. An agreement between Adidas and the game maker, a Nasdaq-listed public company, was reached in December 2010. The game was supposed to have been launched this January."
In December, however, THQ told Adidas that it would not be able to complete the title.
OregonLive reports that, "Adidas is seeking a jury trial for monetary damages not less than $10.6 million and an injunction requiring, among other things, that THQ not sell or transfer the rights to the miCoach-related game."
