At the press conference held in Tokyo by Square to announce the departure of its President, Hisashi Suzuki, the shamed man spoke out about where he thought it all went wrong.
“In the switch from the Super Famicom to the PlayStation generation, there was an over-confidence in our success. We must return to our humble spirit and support the new president.”

Square also stated that it will not be cutting jobs, despite the heavy losses the company has to shoulder.
