News reports have started to trickle out of Japan, that eccentric Nintendo President Yamauchi-san, is to fund game development out of his own pocket.
Though no details are available at this time, this news follows on from the story we brought you recently, regarding Nintendo’s intention to set up a game development fund, available to independent Japanese development studios. Nintendo said that it hoped to discover the next Game Freak, the company responsible for creating the Pokemon series.
Yamauchi is said to be investing 20 billion yen into the project.
