While Sony fights hacker/people's hero/egomaniac Geohot over releasing details of its PS3 protection, Microsoft is opening its arms to people who want to extract the most from its Kinect system, by releasing an SDK (Software Development Kit) to consumers this Spring.According to the
Beeb, "The announcement was made during an open day at Microsoft's research centre near Seattle."
Craig Mundie, Microsoft's chief research and strategy officer commented, "As breakthrough technologies like these reach scale, the resulting creativity and invention will open up a whole new world of possibilities for computing."
The initial kit is aimed at 'personal use' but a professional version is due as well.
