We spend the year playing video games and, frankly, totting up figures. Today sees us present our round-up of MediaCreate's figures for the calendar year 2010 in Japan. Sony wins.
Possibly the biggest surprise, for us, is that the PSP in its various guises, which has been seen as beleaguered in 2010, has overtaken the Nintendo DS in its various forms in what has been a neck-and-neck race for handheld glory. What is less impressive, but no surprise, is the performance of the PSP Go.
On the console front, Sony wins again, beating both the ever more tired looking Wii, and the Xbox 360.
