THQ: Del Toro Trilogy to Take a Decade
The publisher of Guillermo Del Toro's upcoming game trilogy, named inSANE, has revealed that it will take between eight to ten years for the developer to build.

The core games VP for THQ, Danny Bilson, spoke on the red carpet at the recently held VGAs in the US this month, providing the development timescale and how the project will be epic in scale.

Film director Del Toro added that developer on the trilogy, Volition Inc., has already commenced work on the title, is already six months into development and does not expect to to be finished on the first instalment in the franchise for another two and a half years.

He spoke of making the transition from film to games, explaining that "The rules are different, the way you tell the story is different. You don't come into this world and try to apply the same rules. I'm here to learn and try some crazy sh*t."

Any news of a movie tie-in with the franchise currently remain unconfirmed. It can be confirmed, however, that THQ will retain the intellectual rights to the inSANE games and Del Toro would retain the film rights were they produced.

The first in the inSANE trilogy is due for release in 2013 for PC, PS3 and XBox 360. Are you looking forward to this collaboration title, even if it is over two years away? Any thoughts, feel free to post them in the Comments section below.
