Japanese Xbox marketing campaign shapes up
Micrsoft’s director of public relations for Japan, Yoshio Hongo, has appeared on Japanese TV to explain to the general public how the Xbox will be unveiled in the Land of the Rising Sun.

This move came as a buffer to appease the console’s Japanese fan base, following the announcement that the launch of the new hardware has been delayed until February 2002.

The major hookline of the Xbox in Japan will be “Adrenaline Boost!” This slogan will feature at the bottom of all future Xbox promotional materials and will be the headline for the console’s giant showing at the Tokyo Game Show later this month.

It has also been reported that Microsoft intends to use the somewhat cheesy slogan “Xbox – the console which Xceeds all others.” Ouch!
