Capcom responds to Inafune's decision
Follwing the recent announcement by Keiji Inafune that he is to leave the Capcom, the company has responded.

Speaking at a recent Q&A session as part of Capcom's investor briefing (Japanese only), curious investors queried the departure of the outspoken Infaune and what impact it would have on the company's operations.

Inafune's departure was explained as a decision reached through fundamental reforms to Capcom's development structure in current market conditions. It was at the presentation stage of these reforms that Inafune-san made clear where he wanted to progress as a creator and through mutual agreement with the company, he then announced his resignation.

Inafune has now been entirely removed from Capcom's corporate officer page with Katsuhiko Ichii moving into the role and producer on Resident Evil 5, Jun Takeuchi, moving into the corporate officer ranks carrying the hefty title of "Deputy Head of Consumer Games R&D Division and General Manager of R&D Production Department".

Where will Keiji Inafune go from here? Continue to check SPOnG for updates on his next set of actions as and when we here of them.
