Famitsu CEO: 2010 is the PSP's Biggest Year
The CEO of Famitsu's publisher, Enterbrain, Hirokazu Hamamura, spoke at the company's semi annual game industry seminar recently and explained that 2010 will be the PSP's biggest year to date.

Hamamura discussed the boost in third-party titles the portable has seen in recent months, mainly thanks to the ongoing struggle of third-party software on the Nintendo DS and Wii and high development costs for the current-gen HD consoles.

He also commented on the upcoming release of portable title Monster Hunter Portable 3rd that "Selling five million units is not a dream" with the previous entry in the series, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, shifting around four million copies to date.

Hamamura was the former editor-in-chief of weekly Japanese games magazine Famitsu before moving on to the position of CEO for its publisher, Enterbrain. Needless to say, his words are not to be taken lightly when it comes to calling out the next hit title or surge in hardware.

Do you agree with Hamamura's comments? And would you like to see the PSP shift more units in the West or do you think it has its work cut out when the 3DS is released? Feel free to post any thoughts below.
