Panasonic Tries Again: MMO Handheld, Jungle, Announced
Electronics manufacturer Panasonic is giving the gaming sector another crack, with a handheld device named Jungle that will focus on MMOs and other online games.

No official details have been revealed, but it has been reported that the Jungle will sport two circular touchpads underneath the screen, along with shoulder buttons and ports for USB and HDMI. The video below teasing the device displays a rather heavy duty clamshell design along with a full keyboard. It is said to be running some form of Linux OS.

Only two products have been announced for the Jungle so far - a browser MMO, Battlestar Galactica Online, and a cartoon comedy programme titled Online Underground. No date has yet been given for the product.

Panasonic has dipped its toe into games before, with its 1993 3DO home console. That died a rather quick death following its muted launch, high price point and ridiculous games. How will Jungle fare, with a different kind of gaming perspective? Predictions in the comments box, if you please.
