Red Dead Redemption went to Number 1 in the ELSPA/Chart Track UK video games chart this week - and the console split makes interesting reading.Having lagged slightly behind the PS3 in multiplatform title races this year, Microsoft's Xbox 360 pulled off a 65% to 35% sales win over its rival.
Now, before Fanboy squeaking makes all of us ill, Sony's console beat the 360 in the same chart on sales of
2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa (PS3 = 46%, 360 = 42%);
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (44% vs 42%);
Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (51% vs 44%).
That said, the 360 also nabbed
Split/Second: Velocity (Xbox 360 = 56% vs PS3 44%) and
Lost Planet 2 (60% vs 40%).
