PEGI Reveals Game Rating Symbols
Yesterday's Digital (1990s) Britain report from the UK government - you know, the one headed by Lord Carter who is now heading back into the commercial world of digital broadcast - revealed that PEGI is to be the sole arbiter of video game rating. Today, PEGI has revealed its latest symbols. Ideally these will be used by parents and those in loco parentis, and retailers to ensure that the kids don't have their heads mashed up by violence and sexiness.

You can see them here - the symbols not the tots with mashed-up heads.

We still like the jolly old spider to indicate a "Game may be frightening or scary for young children."

Oh, the new symbols are in colour, in case you hadn't noticed.

The different numbers don't help? Are you illiterate as well as color blind?
