A new Nintendo Metal Gear? Surely not.

Rumour Rumble: Earth Shattering Kojima Facts Elusive
It's been a couple of days running around the rumour mill for Kojima Productions, the company responsible for the great Metal Gear Solid(s). First up was a single Twitter tweet from someone calling themself, 'Gamefork' caused much friction and some madness on certain parts of the Internet. Here's the tweet:

"For the questions about MGS+O being show finale: Konami will announce a 360 exclusive (at E3 in June) (NOBODY outside of Kon has been told what this is)..."

(Our comment regarding context is in italics). We looked at GameFork, looked at Gamefork.com, moved on.

Slightly more believably comes a report on the Australian Gameplayer site stating that "member of Kojima’s staff, who has just dropped (in) an email saying that the famous developer is about to make a big announcement in 'T minus 3 days and counting' with regards to a new project."

We say 'more believable' because back in January we already reported Kojima stating that, '2009 will see his company starting 'from Zero' in an attempt to compete globally.'

So, we reckon it's about time that KP announced exactly how these changes are going to occur.

Metal Gear returning to Nintendo platforms... surely there can't be any money to be made there?

Whatever it is, just let it be better than MGS Touch.

We'll wait and see.

Should be interesting, Konami badly need something of substance, as even now their line up looks as inviting, as a invitation to a party with no guests, music, booze or cake.

Only problem is they seem to have little clue what to make. Its pretty dumb to expect Kojima to bring home the bacon, especially since he left them. Makes you wonder, if Kojima Productions is just for show, as they seem to make little else, when compared to the likes of say Platinum Games.
