Nintendo of Japan has confirmed that it has two Nintendo classics in development for it’s upcoming GameCube machine.
First up is a version of Bomberman and, though not a Nintendo title, it originally made its name on the SNES. Super Bomberman, though not as good as the later Saturn version, it’s the Bomberman most gamers remember the best.
GameCube Bomberman promises more frenetic bomb-chucking madness as well as online play. The game is being co-developed by Nintendo and Hudson and is set for release Q1 next year.
Next up is a remake of the seminal N64 snowboarding title 1080 Degrees Snowboarding. The GameCube game, imaginatively titled 1080 Degrees Snowboarding 2, will be more of the same but better looking, and is being developed in-house at Nintendo.
