Okay, the ongoing triumph of Xbox 360 over Sony PS3 continues in Japan. At least it does if you believe the most recent Media Create figures. We say this because earlier this year there was
some confusion - and disparity - between the Media Create Japanese hardware figures and those from Famitsu publisher Enterbrain.
The Media Create figures for the week of 6th October to the 12th are in, however, and they show the following in terms of hardware sold in Nippon. The handhelds are out in front by the way:
DS Lite = 31,914
PSP = 23,901
Wii = 22,877
Xbox 360 = 7,763
PS2 = 6,982
PS3 = 5,734
So, yes, according to these figures not only did the Xbox 360 outsell the PS3, even the PS2 outsold the PS3. Nintendo's Wii, as expected, absolutely dominated both its console rivals. What were the games driving this?
