Tecmo, which is currently rejecting Square Enix but pledging
its troth to Koei in a saga of business brutality and true love, has at least settled one drama it appears.
According to Kotaku's translation of the official Tecmo statement, the company has reached an agreement with two members of staff over a case bought by them for unpaid overtime. Says the statement, "On July 16th, two of our employees brought suit against our company regarding unpaid overtime in the Tokyo District Court and presented a proposed settlement. On September 1, 2008, a judicial settlement was reached. "
The two employees in question were Hiroaki Ozawa and Tatsuki Tsunoda - who were seeking somewhere in the region of £43,600 (€54k). Details of the settlement, however, are not available. So, this leaves the fact that Team Ninja main-chap, Tomonobu Itagaki, is still going
hammer and tongs at the company that once cherished him so highly but which now says he
distorted facts.
