SI to spend another year at the racers
Sports Interactive, the leading developer of sports management simulations, has renewed its sponsorship agreement with the ambitious UK ice hockey team, London Racers. The renewed agreement will see the two operations continue their partnership throughout the 2004-05 season.

This announcement comes at an exciting time for both parties, with the London Racers beginning their preparations for the forthcoming season and Sports Interactive on the verge of releasing its first ice hockey management game, Eastside Hockey Manager: Franchise Edition (working title).

"Working with London Racers throughout last season was a real eye-opener for us, providing us with knowledge and experience which will prove invaluable to us when we launch our first ice hockey game later this year," says Miles Jacobson, Managing Director of Sports Interactive. "We look forward to learning and growing more through our second season of partnership."

"Working with the Sports Interactive over the past season has been nothing but a positive experience," adds Roger Black, Chairman of London Racers. "Their support and feedback is greatly appreciated as they hold valuable knowledge in not only ice hockey, but the entire UK sporting industry. SI's continued support is another step towards our year two goal of building a play-off contending team."

Eastside Hockey Manager: Franchise Edition, which will be Sports Interactive's first non-football game, is due to be published by SEGA in Summer 2004. The game will feature a detailed and realistic game engine with in-depth ice hockey content including numerous leagues, players with detailed statistics and personalities and full management features for trading, drafts and transactions.
