The British public has voted Attila the Hun as the most Evil Dead person in history. In a survey of more than 1000 people carried out by THQ to celebrate the launch of the new computer game Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick, 20 per cent pinpointed the Hun as the Evil Dead they would most like to confront in a séance.
The ruthless barbarian who ruled the Huns and ravaged most of the European continent during the fifth century took top spot in the survey carried out on the Bolt Blue website over the last two weeks.
Attila narrowly beat Adolf Hitler, Genghis Khan and Fred West, who each received an impressive 13 per cent of the votes. Runners up with just seven per cent of the votes each, and considered positively angelic by UK internet users, were Jack the Ripper, Josef Stalin, Josef Goebbels, Dr Crippen and Vlad the Impaler.
Spookily, seven per cent of voters wanted to pick a fight with Saddam Hussein, who has never actually been confirmed dead since he went missing during the recent war in Iraq.
Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick is on sale now for PS2 and Xbox from publisher THQ. A fantastically bloody gore-fest, the game was released on Friday 27th June as a Special Movie Edition Pack together with a copy of Evil Dead 2 the movie on DVD, for just £29.99.
