Koch Distribution today announced the British 6th October 2000 PC CD release of Simon & Schuster Interactive's critically acclaimed 3D Third Person Action-Adventure game, "The Fallen" (£29.99), based on the internationally successful Star Trek: Deep Space Nine television series. Published by Pan Interactive in Europe, Koch will distribute the game in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.

Energised by an enhanced version of the revolutionary Unrea lT Tournament engine, The Fallen places the player at the deep inside the heart of an exhilarating 3D adventure. An ultra-sophisticated camera system takes 3rd person 3D perspective action-adventure gaming to the next level of PC gaming, whether in close quarters or wide-open expanses.

Developed by The Collective of Laguna Beach, California, The Fallen is implemented by people whose passion for quality gaming is fueled with a relentless demand for detail and authenticity. The Fallen propels the DS9 legend into a new galaxy of 3D interactivity. In doing so, The Collective, comprised of brothers Richard and Douglas Hare, and Gary Priest, have assembled a world class team of leading programmers, artists and designers.

If you're a big fan of the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, now, for the first time, you can actually control the actions and destiny of your favorite DS9 characters. Officially sanctioned by Paramount, The Fallen's digital cast is brought to life with the actual voices of Deep Space Nine's cast. The game utilises a revolutionary multiple-character system, and gives the player three unique and compelling single-player experiences as Sisko, Kira or Worf.

A custom-designed inverse kinematics and bones animation system provides fluid character movements and ambulatory dexterity, while a revolutionary facial animation system enables real-time lip-syncing and heightened dramatic interaction between characters. The Fallen gives the player the impression they are re-enacting an episode of the DS9 TV series.

The Fallen boasts more than 10 new weapons, Federation issue and beyond, all with multiple firing modes. Highly detailed architecture and intricate lighting techniques provide cinematic ambiance and mood. Each of the three character-paths features over 10 levels of gameplay across 40 unique, detailed maps, transporting the player through rich, photo-realistic environments never before seen in any Star Trek® episode or motion picture.

Opposition will come from more than 25 alien species, including an all-new race of bio-analogous creatures called the Grigari.
