Electronic Entertainment Expo - Booth #900 - LOS ANGELES, CA - May 22, 2002 - Konami of America Inc., today unveiled details of Cy Girls, the new cyber-thriller action game for PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system that takes players on a wild ride in a dangerous, futuristic world. Scheduled for release in summer 2003, players will follow the game's crime fighting team of sexy heroines Sky and Shadow. Players will enjoy multiple styles of game play, including ranged combat, martial arts fighting, as well as the ability to "dive" into the internet to enhance abilities to even the odds.

The story chronicles the dual exploits of Sky and Shadow, two very different Cy Girl operatives with unique abilities, attributes, and pasts. Sky is the brawnier of the two, well trained in handling long range combat weaponry, while Shadow's skills as a ninja are better suited towards close quarter combat and stealth. Smart, sexy, and packing serious firepower, these women also have the ability to "dive" into the Internet to download new fighting techniques to help bring criminals to justice.

The Cy Girls* concept is based on an original character figure series designed, developed, marketed and distributed by the Japanese toy company TAKARA under the theme "Fighting Heroines." Unique in that they feature characteristics of both dolls and action figures, these products are well received among action figure fans.
