Champ Man Demo Goes Live Tonight
The demo for the world’s best football management simulation goes live at 6PM this evening.
Today is the day when women all over the country will be saying goodbye to their fellas and hello to a bit of peace and quiet. The demo for the latest edition of the nation’s best-loved football management game, Championship Manager: Season 01/02, will be available for download by 6pm this evening.
Developed by Sports Interactive and published by Eidos Interactive, Championship Manager: Season 01/02 is the third season update for Championship Manager 3, the football management simulation for the PC that smashed sales records on its release back in October 1999.
The demo for Championship Manager: Season 01/02 whets the appetites of Champ Man addicts by allowing them to play half a season in any of the 26 leagues that will be available in the final version. Players simply download the ‘quick start’ software from the Sports Interactive web site and kiss goodbye to their weekend.
The Sports Interactive researchers have surpassed themselves this year by obtaining stats on over 130,000 players, far exceeding the originally planned 100,000 player target.
Sports Interactive is delighted. Miles Jacobson, the company’s Managing Director said, “Once again, the SI team has delivered way more than it promised. Our thousands of researchers around the world have worked incredibly hard this year to ensure that Champ Man remains head and shoulders above any other footie management sim.”
“Knowing how popular the demo is bound to be, we also thought it would be a nice touch if players could take the half season we’re now offering and import it into the full version of Championship Manager: Season 01/02. We’re confident that this isn’t going to be a problem.”
