Summary

Let the King of Iron Fist Tournament begin once again! This time in the palm of your hands, in eye-popping 3D. That’s the visual treat in this 3DS iteration of Tekken, which allows players to take on a massive roster of 40 characters in stages old and new. All of which have been redesigned specifically for the 3DS

This is only the second time that the Tekken series has appeared on a Nintendo console - the first was Tekken Advance in 2001. The advances in technology, as well as the benefits of the 3DS Circle Pad, have allowed Namco Bandai to really go to town on making the best portable fighter yet.

The most impressive thing about Tekken 3D Prime Edition is that somehow series producer Katsuhiro Harada and his team have managed to maintain a steady 60 frames per second throughout the entire game. Even when the system is in 3D mode, which many have claimed forces a performance cut, the game doesn’t skip a beat.

All characters from Tekken 6 will be present and correct within the 40-strong roster, and 700 collectible Tekken cards can be sought after as you progress through the tournament. To top it all off, CG movie Tekken: Blood Vengeance will be included on the game cartridge in its entirety, and in 3D too. Fight!
