Summary

Rock Band 3 comes with one whopping tracklist, and that's not all by a long shot. For the first time we see the introduction fo the keyboard to the virtual band's line-up. Added to this is the three part harmony system from The Beatles Rock Band, so seven people can play at once.

Not only that, but the Music Library has been redesigned with the ability to create, save and share setlists both in-game and via RockBand.com. New song filters have been added to speed up searching, and there is a song recommendation system as well.

Gameplay has been both made easier for the newcomer to get the hang of and also more rewarding for the seasoned player to master – check out the Pro Guitar which makes use of the new Fender Mustang controller from Mad Catz and the Squire Fender Stratocaster controller, which is a mix of real and game controller guitar. Yes, a full six-string guitar that can be used as a controller.

Party and career modes come into play as does updating status on popular social gaming websites.
