Summary

American McGee is famous for telling twisted satirical stories, and Bad Day L.A. follows that trend by playing on the 'fear culture' that is present in modern day America. In a time when there's a lot to be scared about – terrorists, the economy, murders and crime – this game sends it all up in a hilarious fashion by setting the scene in Los Angeles, where disaster after disaster hits the streets.

Taking a third person perspective, players have to survive and take advantage of the many freak occurrences taking place in the city, while having the freedom to explore the world and chat to strange characters. In true American McGee style, the storyline is over-the-top, surreal and allows for some fast action and fun.

As you encounter the city's inhabitants – who have their own turmoil during this series of events – you'll come across just as many bad guys who want to exploit the disasters for themselves. It's your task to take them down using any array of weaponry available to you, from baseball bats to shotguns.

Featuring a comical premise, a real life replication of Los Angeles to explore and a unique artistic style by Kozyndan, American McGee Presents Bad Day L.A is an adult game that is simple, fun and accessible enough for over-18s to switch on and instantly have a blast.
