Summary
If you’re going to play online games, you might as well play City of Heroes. After all, what could be better than being your very own super hero? The game captured the imagination of online gamers everywhere, as well as catching the attention of Marvel Comics, who were concerned that fans of Marvel Comics might use the hero sim to recreate some of their favourite Marvel characters. Obviously, being a company that makes a fair bit of money from the videogames licenses for their creations, they weren’t too happy about it.
The concept is too great though and now NCSoft return with a natural progression – City of Villains in which you can create your very own evil Super Villain. Only now is the MMORPG truly complete, as players get the opportunity to play either side of the battle between good and evil. And let’s face it, bad guys have more fun.
Naturally, every Super Villain has one goal - total domination, and you get to work your way towards being a bona fide ultra fiend, starting off as nothing but a low level, low life thug. Missions now available include heists, kidnappings and infiltrations, as the race to become the most powerful arch criminal begins. New costumes and powers give you the freedom to make your diabolical avatar represent your darkest hopes and desires! And what any villain be without a lair? In City of Villains you can build your own forbidding fortess of evil, complete with traps, weapons and defences.
Even better, current devotees to the world of crime fighting need pay no additional monthly fee. Simply purchase your copy of City of Villains, and you’ll be able to continue the MMORPG, but with the choice to play on either side.
