Summary

Princess Daphne is in grave danger, she has been captured by the evil dragon Singe. You are Dirk the Daring and it is up to you to save her. You must infiltrate the Dragon’s Lair, and battle the gigantic beast. Daphne will be thrilled if you can rescue her, oh yes.

We never thought that we would see this, but we were wrong. A conversion of the laserdisc-based arcade game Dragon’s Lair on the Game Boy Color. More importantly, Digital Eclipse has managed to develop a faithful translation of this groundbreaking title.

In 1983, Dragon’s Lair shocked the gaming world with its beautiful visuals and memory intensive gameplay. It is essentially an interactive cartoon where you have to enter the correct input at the right time to carry on your quest. The Game Boy version has a training mode that shows you the directional or action input and when to perform it. Then it’s up to you to remember the sequences.

To stop you relying completely on memory, some scenes are reversed and that means you have to think about your inputs and change them accordingly.
