Summary

Crytek’s futuristic first-person shooter, Crysis, was one of the graphical highlights in the PC gaming world when it was released in 2007. Some three years later, that same technical wizardry is coming back to the PC and being introduced to consoles in Crysis 2. Unfortunately, so have the nasty alien forces that you fought back in the first game.

It’s not just some piddly army you have to do battle with this time. A full-scale invasion force has been unleashed on New York City, with the extra-terrestrial goal being nothing less than the total eradication of mankind. Not very nice. As a result, the city is in complete chaos - buildings are aflame, security systems have gone haywire and the streets have been devastated.

Only you, with the highly advanced Nanosuit 2, have the power necessary to dive in and fight back the alien horde. As the number suggests, there are a number of improvements to the combat suit that will help you discover new ways of defeating and evading enemies.

With the action blasting through your TV screen in stereoscopic 3D, you’ll be immersed even further as you become the ultimate weapon against a whole load of nasty intergalactic bugs.
