Summary

Heaven and Hell. Inferno, Paradise and Purgatory. The Pearly Gates, and Fire and Brimstone. If you were to think of these planes of spiritual existence, chances are you'll be thinking of all the things that Dante Alighieri wrote back in 1300s Italy. His epic poem, The Divine Comedy, described a vision for the areas that rests on the extremes of the Christian faith.

Dante's Inferno is a story that adopts the images described in Alighieri's poetry. Yes, it's a game of an epic poem. The player controls Dante as he journeys into hell and descends through all nine circles of the Inferno – Limbo, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Anger, Heresy, Violence, Fraud and Treachery. He does this all to recapture the soul of his lost love, Beatrice. But as a man who doesn't fear death, can Dante succeed in resisting his own sins reflected within these circles?

A third person action brawler that takes many cues from games such as Devil May Cry and God of War in terms of gameplay, Dante's Inferno takes a unique approach in recreating classic literature and allows a new generation of players to learn Alighieri's poem and to explore the messages and images conveyed within. All while smacking the hell out of a demon, of course.
