Summary

Way, way back, when Nintendo first started showing off the Wii (then the Revolution) mysterious images of a little device known as the Wii Zapper started emerging. It took Nintendo a while to get the peripheral into gamers' hands, but Link's Crossbow Training is where it can be found.

The Zapper - which is compatible with titles such as Capcom's Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, EA's Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 and SEGA's Ghost Squad - is essentially a plastic housing that will turn your Wii Remote into a lightgun, complete with a housing for the Nunchuck to enable analogue steering.

Link's Crossbow Training comes with it in order to get Wii owners' feet wet. Set in the world of Twilight Princess (so players may well stumble across some familiar locations) the game sends players off, crossbow in hand, across 10 levels, each with three tiers, to...well, shoot things.

There are three different modes of play. One is on rails and focuses purely on the shooting; one sees Link stationary but able to swivel on the spot by swinging the Zapper, and the third allows players to guide Link using the Nunchuck's analogue stick.

If you've ever wanted to blow skeletons away using a crossbow (and who hasn't?) this is the one for you.
