Summary

Anno 1701: Dawn of Discovery takes place in the 18th Century, the age of seafaring and exploration. Your mission is to explore and settle the New World. Diplomatic finesse, business acumen and strategic skills are all important factors in your mission.

Players must create their own realistic world, where interaction takes place at every possible turn. Anno 1701 offers maximum interaction with the gaming environment through many details, including the cheers or protests of the population in the village centre and the ability to engage in diplomacy with foreign settlements. Get ready to take part in secret diplomacy, involving special operations, such as espionage and sabotage that will in turn open up a selection of strategic options to help gamers proceed.

The entire Anno archipelago can be explored, settled and controlled using the stylus. While the game unfolds on the lower screen, the upper screen provides you with valuable information on what's going on. Anno 1701 puts you in charge of a comprehensive campaign. It's loaded with cut-scenes and provides you with an exciting continuous play mode which allows you to explore and settle the archipelago whichever way you like. Moreover, Anno 1701 offers you the chance to do all this with up to three friends via the DS WiFi facility. You can also challenge up to three computer opponents.
