Summary

In the PC game Faces of War from Ubisoft, gamers find themselves in the midst of some of the most important battles that ever took place in Europe during World War II. Get ready to be immersed in combat during famous conflicts like the Battle of Berlin, the Normandy Invasion or the Battle of the Bulge. Players have the choice to command either Allied, Soviet or German troops. Faces of War uses incredibly sophisticated AI. For example, soldiers will not just follow any old order given to them by a player, they will think about how to do it in the most productive way.

In every mission during Faces of War, gamers must lead a squad of six highly intelligent soldiers that will think and react for themselves as the shots ring out and bombs drop. The 3D engine used in the game gives players total freedom in their tactical choices. Faces of War uses a free-roaming camera and fully destructible environments, which add an awful lot to the overall realism of the game. It is also possible to move your troops in and out of war-torn buildings. The complete reproduction used in not only the environments, but also vehicles, weapons and military gear highlights both the level of detail and the emotion used in the gameplay.

Another feature of Faces of War is the intense multiplayer warfare option in which up to 16 players can take part. With eight multiplayer modes and four player co-op play available, there should be enough to keep even the most experienced combat gamer happy.
