Summary
The third instalment in Gremlin's answer to the almighty Championship Manager, Premier Manager 3 continues the tradition of the series, offering a range of new gameplay features, as well as the obligatory statistical update.
As you would expect, from the outset you're offered the manager's job at any one of the teams from the Conference league and, from here, faced with the task of taking that team up through the heights of the football league right up to the Premiership. Alternatively, if you're more interested in managing your own particular favourite team then you've still got a similar task to undertake by improving your own reputation in order to bid for better jobs elsewhere.
As with the other titles in the PM series, there's a fair amount of depth to the proceedings, meaning that there's a lot more to it than merely picking your squad and hoping for the best. New to the series is the ability to negotiate sponsorship contracts and bank loans, improve stadiums and manage the full staff roster. And lets not forget there are still people above you to 'manage', in the form of directors who can be persuaded to give you cash to spend. Unfortunately, these directors also have the ability to sack you.
