Summary

The President and his family are travelling to a political conference, when all of a sudden they are attacked and kidnapped. The police are trying to control the situation but they need your help desperately. Take to the roofs and helicopters; you must take out the terrorists before time runs out. You will not bow to their demands.

Silent Scope for Game Boy Advance is your chance to become a sniper, one of the most dangerous and exclusive professions. Nerves of steel are a must and keeping your cool under immense pressure comes with the territory. Hold your breath, take your time, steady yourself, then fire.

Just a couple of years ago, it would have been inconceivable that a game like Silent Scope could be ported over to a handheld and keep gameplay largely intact. But Konami has managed it by incorporating a series of pre-rendered backdrops into the snipe-em-up gameplay. Players must still hunt for targets before zooming up close and pulling the trigger, and it's not long before your forget you're actually playing 2D representation. Very clever.

There are only a limited amount of continues available, so if you want to save the President, success depends entirely on skill. Sniping from the top of a building is easy, but try shooting from a moving helicopter or boat at a moving target, then you'll understand what a great and tricky game this is.

Silent Scope really gives players the impression of being a sniper... well, at least we think it does!
