Summary

Straight out of the arcades comes Sega Rally 1995 Championship. Forget Gran Turismo, this is the game that defined the driving genre. Though it’s sparse in content (four tracks, three cars, two views) the game-play and feeling it affords is fantastic. With this game you get the acclaimed Sega Rally arcade machine for your Saturn. That’s it. There is a real physics emphasis in drift, making the cars feel responsive and true to life. Sega also sampled the actual sounds from both the car engines and the noise across various surfaces. The cars are the Toyota Celica, Lancia Delta HFI and the awsome Lancia Stratos. They have realistic handling with the Stratos (the only rear-wheel-drive car) a sliding vehicle of doom.

There has been no off track driving game made that does not owe something of itself to Sega Rally. Truly the daddy of the modern video-driving experience.
