Founded by industry veteran Archer Maclean, one of the original back-room games programmers from the early 80s whose past credits include the number one bestsellers Dropzone, International Karate and IK+, Awesome has developed the smash hit Jimmy White's snooker titles and a GBA remake of DropZone.
Awesome Play's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 1999 title, "Jimmy White's 2: Cueball" (Dreamcast).
The company has been involved titles released on the PC, Wii, PS2, PSP, Xbox, GameCube, GBA, PlayStation, Game Boy Color and Dreamcast. Of these, "Jimmy White's 2: Cueball" (PlayStation), "Jimmy White's 2: Cueball" (Dreamcast) and "Archer Maclean's Pool Paradise" (GameCube) have been best selling titles.
The company's most recent involvement was on the 2009 release "Wheelspin" (Wii).
