When is a story not a story? A good question, especially for SPOnG and its loathing of the dreaded slow news day. However, the latest Xbox 2 piece is perhaps the most tenuous we have seen for a while.
As you may be aware, the Consumer Electronics Show is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas this January and Microsoft yesterday confirmed that the James Bond villain egg target Bill Gates will be addressing attendees.
This has lead to speculation that the Xbox 2, or Xenon as it is formally and officially known, will be shown, or announced by Gates during his podium time. Though SPOnG believes that this is somewhat unlikely.
The XNA project is expected to be shown or discussed in some updated form, as will the upgrades to the Xbox Live service as planned by MS. Though an official announcement of the console is doubted by most development sources this morning.

I thinik they should just lug out that silver X prototype XBOX and tell them that this is the new XBOX 2.
