Noritaka Funamizu, producer of Capcom's legendary Street Fighter series, has resigned from his position as Executive Producer and Chief of Research and Development with the Japanese industry stalwart in order to establish his own brand new company. Joining him is fellow Capcom producer, Katsuhiro Sudo, who most recently worked on Auto Modellista and Mobile Suit Gundam: Federation vs. Zeon. At this stage, there are only four other employees, so they won't be kicking off any major projects just yet.
The company has been given the catchy name of Craft and Meister and, given the lead producers' strong credentials, should offer some interesting titles in the future. Funamizu was also involved in the production of Resident Evil Outbreak and Monster Hunter, so between them the team has experience with a broad range of Capcom's most popular and diverse output. That certainly bodes well for any future plans, news of which is sure to creep out later in the year.
