DS Shunned for Metal Gear Support
Famed Konami producer Hideo Kojima has put the kibosh on talk that the freshly revealed Nintendo DS system will host any of the current Metal Gear Solid projects currently in development.

Talking in the post-E3 issue of Famitsu, Kojima stated that no Metal Gear Solid Development for DS had commenced, outlining that, at this time, Metal Gear Acid is Sony-exclusive. Kojima did however underline that all platforms would be constantly evaluated for support.

The slant of Famitsu’s piece was that the Nintendo DS, complete with its two screens and touch-sensitive goodness, would be the perfect platform for Solid Snake’s future portable outings. The ability to monitor surroundings, as well as interact with the environment in a physical way, certainly appeals and has the ability to blow the gameplay apart.

Keep it here for developments on MGS DS support in the weeks ahead.

Sounds like Konami is Sony's new byatch. They give us MGS: TTS on GC and now this, a very nasty slap in the face, especially after my buying ISS and Pro Evo over FIFA games for years.

Then there's the Silent Hill series not appearing on GC either. Also even MGS2 was on PC, but not GC. Says enough to me mate, message received loud and clear Konami. Too good for Nintendo, eh? Think even the GBA gets more Konami support than GC. Sad but true.

Try listening to your customers needs next time, Konami.
You are kinda startin to make me dislike you which I don't want.

Look at it commerically - could Konami have got all that dull dull dull dull dull dull dull dull (did I say dull?) dull dull dull video on a GC disc?

If Nintendo had designed the GC properly instead of bringing it to market severely under-powered, perhaps the GC would be faring better.

That's a lame excuse. GC underpowered....gimme a break and a kit kat. If it was really that under power Konami wouldn't have just done MGS: TTS recently.

Also blaming the tools I could understand on the PS2, because I heard several times it can be tricky to produce stuff for, but still this isn't really a valid reason. Even more of a joke when Capcom are managing to do the opposite put out quality games across all formats. Even Sega can do this too.

Yes, I can understand Konami going where the money is on PS2, like any company, but there GC support has been little or none at all. And when the do give GC owners something they get MGS:TTS. That spells LAME to me. Maybe they are in financial trouble, I dunno.
