An online petition has been launched aimed at coercing Microsoft into making the next generation of Xbox hardware compatible with the current library of games available for the existing machine.
At time of press, more than 3,500 had signed up - impressive figures in just a couple of days.
However, they may well be hugely disappointed, given that the IBM-aided processor to grace the next hardware model is unlikely to be 'out of the box' compatible with the current Pentium-based number-cruncher.
