It’s now officially recognised that the games division of Vivendi Universal is up for sale, of that there is no doubt. And as such, the games industry throws up a constant stream of potential suitors for the French company.
Today Reuters reports that Edgar Bronfman Jr., the man responsible for the sale of Universal to Vivendi, is interested in buying out the gaming division. Indeed, Bronfman is supposedly gathering support from several private equity outfits in order to raise the capital required for a buy-out.
As soon as anything is confirmed, we’ll let you know.
