Microsoft is replacing faulty Xbox Ones in the USA and also providing a free game from a selection in downloadable form, which is clever. Why clever? Well, because the faults found in the 'few' faulty consoles are mostly to do with the disc-drives not working - although at least one person has found an old fashioned fix (see the video below).
Polygon reports that, "Xbox One owners affected by the issues can choose from Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, or Zoo Tycoon. The malfunctioning systems will still allow players to use digital download copies, so these particular games will work regardless of the faulty disc drives."
