Word on the timing of the Xbox One launch has come from an unlikely source - a competition from Doritos and Mountain Dew.
Pepsico and Microsoft are giving away Xbox Ones but, while the blurb for the competition states that the machine will be out in November a NeoGAF user has spotted something a little extra in the terms and conditions:
“Xbox One has targeted launch date of late November 2013; therefore, the initial shipments may be slightly delayed; please allow 12-14 weeks for delivery,” the terms say.
Since that nugget was picked up the terms have been amended, but NeoGAF has a screen capture showing the original text.
This may have been a straight-up error, but it could be a wee bit of insider knowledge accidentally set loose.
Sony has set a November 15th date for the PS4 in the States and a date of November 29th here in Europe.
