Peter Molyneux Talks Sense About Online
More than once we - well, I - have taken time out to call 22 Cans' leader and UK industry legend Peter Molyneux something of a hype-talking drama king over under-delivery. But this time the man is talking a great deal of sense.

He's been talking about how the great unwashed - that's you and us - don't tend to respond well when people or companies actually do listen and change. He's cited Microsoft and the Xbox One's always-on nature, and the backlash against it.

"Microsoft did the reversal and we should have all turned round and said 'fantastic, you've really listened to what we're said'. But you have to over-correct to get back on line," he says. That's arguable. What isn't is his analysis of what is to come.

He tells Techradar, "Whether as consumers we like it or not, just like every form of technology interaction, there's an inevitability of online", however, this is where the man needs to be applauded long and loudly.

"You've got to give consumers the real benefit of why being online is a great thing for them. Why it's great for gaming, why it's great for their pockets and why it's great for the experiences they're having."
