Video games charity Special Effect has launched a new fundraising initiative, and it involves the good will of Steam's player community and the lucrative item marketplace of Team Fortress 2.The organisation, which funds the development of technology that allows people with disabilities to enjoy video games, has worked with a number of community artists to create a trio of Team Fortress 2 items.
In order for these peripherals - a belt buckle joystick, portable arcade cabinet and virtual reality headset - to become available in the game, they must be voted into Team Fortress 2 by the Steam community.
The Special Effect Steam Workshop is here. You know what to do - vote that stuff up!
99 per cent of the money made from item purchases will go straight to charity to help everyone play and enjoy games.
More details on the initiative can be found on Special Effect's website here.
